I am in love with love. The feeling, the concept, the whole whirlwind fairy tale of birds singing and deer dancing. I am definitely a romantic at heart which would explain why I secretly cry at weddings. Life doesn't exactly live up to a Cinderella kind of story. In fact, life will, more often than not, have you questioning every romance novel you've ever read. Heartbreak is inevitable and so are tears over chocolate chip ice cream that is the best way to get over a failed relationship. But sooner than later there comes along that one person, that one relationship that actually clicks. It manages to make it through every broken road, every weathered storm and even your monthly PMS hormones. It stays. Because that’s what love is meant to be. It’s meant to stay.
This wedding was very close to my heart because the bride is a precious friend and a girl who has always been there. She falls into that special group of ‘forever friends’, the people who you know will be around forever. We've known each other for close to 11 years and we have the best memories. And in her partner she has chosen a man who is absolutely perfect for her. He is kind as much as she is caring, he is intelligent as much as she is wise. And, he is loving as much as she is giving. I won’t lie, I did cry at the auspicious moment, when they declared their love for the world to see…when they found their love was there to stay and always and forever be.
